Prayer Power

Most Christians would agree that prayer is a powerful tool, and we all need to pray. But how much time do you think most professed Christians spend praying daily? How much time do you spend each day in prayer?

Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Jesus had a busy schedule as he traveled around on foot. He accomplished all His teachings and miracles in just three years. Yet, He got up early in the morning and sought a private place to pray (see Mark 1:35-39). If Christ prayed like this, how much more do you think we need to pray.

If ye abide in me and my words abode in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you (John 15:7).

What a powerful statement! What a powerful tool at our disposal. Why don't we utilize it more? God's Word and prayer balance each other and are like the two wings on an eagle that give it the power to soar. As Warren and David Wiersbe say in their book, 10 Power Principles for Christian Service, "It's obvious that no Christian can rise any higher than his or her prayer life..." (Kindle location 1371). So pray!
